In the late seventies of the last century, Jurgen te Rijdt started his collection of musical instruments, after playing the guitar himself. He bought a Gennaro Fabbricatore (made in 1822) bought a romantic guitar from Rikkers' guitar shop in Groningen, where he studied medicine.
